Christmas Cookies - Ginger Snaps

I was so thankful that both babies decided to take naps at the same time today, so I took full advantage and tried two new cookie recipes. These chewy molasses cookies were listed in my latest Bon Appetit magazine, and while they could be a tiny bit chewier, they are pretty darn good. Next time I think I will pull them out of the oven a good 30 seconds earlier.

I'm planning on making cookies for lots of Christmas gifts this year, so I've been on the lookout for cute packaging ideas. I found some beautiful boxes at Homesense last week that are perfect for cookies. They are quite big, but not very deep, which makes layering easy. I think decorated sugar cookies would fit perfectly.

While I was searching for almond flour to do some gluten-free baking (recipes coming!), I came across these cute Christmas jars. It's hard to see, but there is a faint reindeer on the jar. Since gingersnaps are pretty hearty they keep their shape when piled in a jar like this, and it's super easy to give as a hostess gift. I can't believe Christmas is in a month!
