Weekend Work

9/15/2013

I think this has got to be one of the most productive weekends of my life! On Saturday, we woke up and went to the Farmer's Market, as per usual. We came home around 11:30 and my friend Lauren came over to help me get the new rooms all in order. With some help from a special visit to Grandma's, we worked all day without interruption. Two gallons of paint later (and some very sore backs) the painting was over! We rewarded ourselves with Thai take-out, and planned to meet up the next morning bright and early to do some shopping.

Today happened to be the Phillip Lim launch at Target, which I wanted to check out so we went there first. I will have to do a separate post on the craziness of it... but I did come home with some new items I hope will fit one day, post pregnancy. After Target we hit up Ikea, and made it back home around lunch time.

The rooms are not quite 100 percent complete, but they are close. We turned a green, gender neutral nursery into a little girls space; a den into Soren's new big boy room; and an under-used guest room into a playroom. Most of the playroom transformation happened a couple months back, but some touches were added like the Button Rug which I love.

And the craziest part? Soren went to sleep tonight in his new big boy bed. No complaints, no attempts to get out of bed, no tears. He just happily settled in and was sound asleep when I checked on him half an hour later. Let's see how the overnight goes...

Hey Erika, I'm a new follower from the GFC hop. Are you kidding me? You're far from completion but they look great already! Oh, I also heard about all the craziness of Phillip Lim invading target, my friends were all over it on Twitter. Lol.

I'd love it if you can follow me back :)
