Soren had an interesting week this week, as his daycare was closed. He got to spend one day with his mommy, one with daddy, one with grandpa, and two with grandma. On our day together we hung out reading lots and lots of stories, went for a walk, and both took a nap in the afternoon. It was lovely!
This babe of mine is such a chatterbox these days! He chats away to himself before we get him out of the crib in the morning, and pretty much provides a running commentary of what's going on for the rest of his awake hours. He's stringing two and sometimes three words together, which makes it all the more entertaining to listen to. Daddy went to a hockey game last night, so the two of us went out on a date. We headed to a local burger place, and shared french fries, a cheeseburger, and a strawberry milkshake. I thought it might be a little quiet to have no one to talk to over dinner - but the littlest filled in all the conversation holes! We chatted and munched on fries, and tried to 'share' the milkshake. (I lost out on most of the sharing.) Getting to spend one on one time together is so special and precious. I hope we can continue 'dates' for the rest of our lives:)
